With a diverse career that spans photography, writing, sailing, surfing, and marine science, Maddy Bolt brings a unique blend of skills and passions to every project.

Her work has been featured in major publications such as Surfer, Travel + Leisure, Ocean Culture Life, Mongabay, Wavelength, and Oceanographic, where she has written extensively about her experiences living and sailing around Indonesia and across the Pacific. Drawing on over a decade of experience in film photography and a degree in marine science, she creates engaging, thoughtful content that reflects her deep connection to the natural world.

As a previous brand ambassador for companies like Rip Curl, Avasol and Indosole, Maddy champions environmentally and socially conscious causes, collaborating with a wide range of creatives and organizations.

Maddy’s commitment to empowering local communities led her to establish a 501(c)(3) nonprofit - OceanFolx, that teaches Indonesian women how to swim and surf, fostering deeper connections between women and the ocean. In 2026 she co-produced a participatory documentary about OceanFolx with Maddie Meddings, Marsela Arnanda and Eight Peaks Production to be toured globally in late 2026.
